Grandma's Retro Ranch House

This house was perfect for our family of 7. The room with the pool table was secluded from the bedrooms, which made it nice for our older kids to be able to hang out. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and we had everything we needed to feel at home. My only suggestion would be to add some comfortable outdoor furniture. The views and pool area are gorgeous but there was nowhere comfortable to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again!!

This house is perfect for a few families with children. The pool is gorgeous and great for kids to burn a little energy. There is plenty of room outside for them to run around. The kids room with 4 twin beds is great as well. The kitchen is large and fully equipped. There was even a special iron pan to grill oysters! You should do that, go to Tomales Bay Oyster Company about 20 minutes away and bring them back and grill them on the pan. We had such a wonderful time. The host was extremely kind and super responsive. When there was a small issue with the water it was handled within 20 minutes. Also the vistas are incredible and we loved hearing the cows mooing on the dairy and seeing them serenely graze in the fields. What a gem! We are planning to return next year for our yearly California vacation with friends.

Fantastic little home base for a weekend filled with activities in West Marin.Don’t bother buying an oyster shucker from Tomales Bay Oyster Co if you stay here; there are at least three, one of which we added without realizing.Master bedroom/bathroom is a little musty and the dolls in the other rooms are a little odd, but despite those things, it’s a solid place with the most stunning views.

This house is extremely cozy and feels like a museum of Marin county farm history. We really enjoyed exploring the cheese shop and local restaurants nearby. Highly recommend for a relaxing, quiet getaway by yourself or with others.
